An exciting project in Graz: our challenge and success story

We are pleased to provide an insight into our latest project in Graz, where we successfully dismantled a massive 40-ton wire drawing machine and prepared it for transportation to India. This project was impressive not only because of its size, but also because of the numerous challenges we overcame.

The intensive planning phase began over a year ago to ensure that every step was carried out precisely. Our team of six dedicated specialists spent two weeks on site to completely dismantle and mark the machine and all associated system components. Every part had to be carefully documented so that the responsible company in India could rebuild the machine exactly according to our specifications.

Three critical points that made our project a real challenge:

1. separation of the machine: The machine had to be separated into two halves in order to get it out of the hall and into the container. This required maximum precision and coordination.

2. limited space: The limited space in the hall posed a major challenge. Our coordination with the customer was crucial to ensure that the system could be dismantled and transported smoothly.

3. extensive cabling: kilometers of cable had to be precisely labeled and documented. This was crucial so that our partner company in India could reassemble the machine correctly.

Once we had completed the dismantling, the system was transported to Hamburg, from where it was shipped to India via the Cape of Good Hope with the support of our partner companies – a route that was necessary due to the closure of the Suez Canal.

This project once again demonstrates the strength and expertise of our team. Thanks to our careful planning, excellent coordination and precise working methods, we were able to successfully complete this challenging task. We are proud of our performance and the excellent cooperation with our partner companies.
